Bri is now in excellent everything in AKC. She got her first excellent A jumpers leg in her 4th try. She finished her Open standard title Sunday. Man she is blowing everyone away. She would have taken 4th in the B class in excellent because she was the 4th fastest. But in the A class she pulled first place. And in Open we got the blue. She and I almost pulled Q's in the other stuff but I was working for the club and was trying to get the flu Sat and had 3.5 hours sleep and she got that jumpers leg. What a girl!!! Congrats on Ted!!! that is soooo awesome. Hey she went on point Sunday evening at a bird. I about crapped. We were both tired and she stopped and pointed and I looked and there was a bird in the grass. She is such a sweet baby. See ya, Diane

She got her first agility title today - her AKC Novice Fast title. Julie, you
are a wonderful breeder. However can you breed dogs with a big dog bark? I was
told she sounds like a schnauzer when I am running my other dogs! She wants to
play agility too. I almost called you so you could hear what she sounds like.
Last I weighed her she was 71 pounds. Measured 22" at the shoulder by AKC

Hi Julie, I purchased our female, chocolate pup (Riley) from you a little over three years ago and I have to tell you that she is the best dog i could possibly ask for. Not only is she just a beautiful dog, but she is unbelievably smart. She is a wonderful hunter, as well as, the best companion. There is honestly nothing that I couldn't teach this dog. In fact i have people offer to buy her from me just from seeing her on the street. I will most definitely be buying my next dog from you because Riley is the best dog i've ever seen (and I'm told this on a regular basis from other people) thank you again for your wonderful bloodlines, Piper sure did a great job producing my Riley girl.
Sincerely,

Hi Julie,
I wanted to let you know I did Wiggs' certification today. She looks great! She has actually grown since she moved in with her client back in October. Still 1/2 the size of Barclay but taller than she was. She and Barclay are both diabetic alert dogs. Wiggs lives in a beautiful house on a lot of land in rural Rice Lake WI. She has 4 kids to play with and loves her family very much. Wiggs and Barclay will both be at graduation in May. I think Cooper is too - he's an autism assist dog. I hope you can come to see them.
Most of the "C" litter are with clients. Cooper is an autism assist dog - he may be graduating in May also. Callie, Charity and Carley have all moved in with their clients. Callie is a diabetic alert dog for a young woman with a 7 y/o daughter; Charity and Carley are both mobility assist dogs for women. Chloe is matched with a client and will probably move in next week. Claire and Champ just came back from the Fairbault prison and should be matched with clients within the next couple of weeks.
Dinger and Avery are also in for final training. Avery went to the Fairbault prison last week and will be there for a couple months, Dinger is Laura's (the in-house's trainer) favorite so she is keeping him at our kennel an working with him. Luke will be really well represented at this fall's graduation so make sure you keep that date open, Sunday October 28th. You will probably have 8 dogs graduating then!

_High Julie! How are you? My mother and i purchased a
puppy from you about a year and a half ago Nellie is a great addition to
our family. She got out duck hunting a few times last year and did
great for never being in a boat she waited for me to give her the ok.
She is a great dog. Unfortunate I am moving out and won't get to take
her with me my mother wants to keep her at her house because she has a
friend scout our other chocolate. I will still be hunting her and
working with her just not living with her. She was a pup from Luke and
Maggie litter of September 2010. What i am trying to get at here is I
bought my own house and really want a companion friend and a hunting
buddy and I don't want to look anywhere else but with high voltage. I
love your dogs and love Nellie and would like to love a dog of my own. I
have a young son "you met him when we came up the first time to pick"
and would love to have him grow up with one of your pups. I am Looking
for a male color not really important to me all of your dogs look and
sound amazing so that not a big deal. I am wondering when you are
planning your next litter and what it would take to own one of your
amazing puppies.

We finally finished a Qualifying Stake! For those of you who don't know what this means, we did not place in the top 4, but we did
the work and received a "Judges Award of Merit". A green ribbon now hangs on the wall! Thanks to Dave Davis ( Chieftain Kennels ) and the Tamarack Crew for sticking with us. Now we know we can play, we just have to get our act together and eliminate "handler error" and we can (?), who knows! It was a fun weekend even though those "no - birds" took it's toll on us, rattling the handler and confusing the "Little Big Horse" as to what he did wrong, but in the end he picked up all the chickens and finished! You should have seen that WAGGING TAIL when he came back with that last bird in the 4th!!!!!

Hi Julie!!
Cruger is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A barbed wire fence and a Porcupine were just minor stops in his activity!
He won the Q just 2 weeks after being able to resume training after his run in with the fence ( surgery and stitches) and when he encountered his first porcupine, he only sniffed but close enough to get nailed, JUST SAT AND LET DAD pull those Quills one by one at the truck, I guess that's trust, I just told him in a reassuring voices to Sit and gently started pulling. After I pulled the First one he looked at me like "well that feels better"and let me pull the rest with out any problem (60 plus quills) He's headed south again at the end of Dec. After a Q Jam and Win this year, I have to give
him one more winter trip. He's really maturing (finally!!!) and starting to act like a big dog! I hope you can see these pictures, if not let me know or go to my face book page. This old fart still isn't a proficient computer user.
I don't know if it's Maturing, hunting, training or what, but he's turning into one hell of a Dog!! Dave Davis of Chieftan Kennels has done a great job with him. As I told you when you let him come to live with me, I would do all I can to train/trial/hunt this dog ( within my budget and that's already over the max.), but dam ya just can't help but love this boy and readjust your budget and go
for more! Not only does he have talent, but you should see him with people and kids, my great nephews ( 2 & 3-1/2 ) love him to death and he put's up with
more than their Mom and Dad or I will with their shenanigans.
He is without a doubt the GREATEST HUNTING DOG I have ever had in 40 + years of Labs! He also looks like he'll be my best Trial dog in my 15 years playing
the game! A crippled goose to him is like a shackled pigeon, it's his! Grouse and Woodcock are the best because we get to work as a team and he understands that! A blind retrieve out of handling sight on a wild duck is send him and he isn't coming back without one, Awesome! I did contact the Erwin's when he got QAA to let them know Oatie and Penny now had 2 QAA boys (KENO & CRUGER), don't know what any of the other pups are doing, but I have to guess the owners are very pleased with their Yellow dogs! P.S. My training partner Dave Furin has this years High Point Open Dog, "LANDOVER'S RIGHT ON TARGET" (AERO)! Maybe some of it's rubbing off on us!
Talk to you soon,
Dennis and Cruger

Hi Julie,
This is Mike Schmidt with a puppy update.
Seamus is doing fine. I had him at the vet today for his second set of shots and de-worming. He seems to have a very good demeanor and everyone has commented on his good looks. Also, I have attached a photo of Doc for your files and as you know he was an offspring of Holly. This picture was taken at my hunting camp in Canada.
Thanks,
Mike Schmidt

Dear Julie,
We thought you would like to see what a handsome boy "High Voltage Mister Santa Bear" has become, at one year old; you may post the picture if you wish. On 20 September, he weighed 94 pounds, and was 23.75 inches tall at the shoulder. He is still very sweet, lovable, happy, affectionate and energetic; his favorite "toy" being "Mocha", our 4 year old chocolate lab. I take "Mister" and "Mocha" on 2.5 -3 mile walks most days, when we receive many compliments on him. Other days they get to run and swim at the cabin, where the photo was taken, on 24 September.
Enjoy,
John and Mary Klem

Julie,
Just wanted to give you an update on Doc (O'Riley x Piper) at 3 years old. We are in S. Dakota shooting ducks and pheasant and he is unbelievable! First time with pheasants and the veteran guys were amazed. He retrieved all ducks and pheasants, both dead and crippled.
Thanks for an outstanding match in dam and sire.

Dear High Voltage Labs
Please follow the email trail below, it is a little story about one of your puppies from a late 1998 litter that we were fortunate to have part of our family for over 11 years. You sold the Cheyenne to my co worker Brian Reimer and he raised her for the first two years. and just about daily at work we talked about his dog and hunting because I love to hunt too and I loved labs. He tell me how great this dog was but she was nuts( in a good way) a lot of energy. I also own a farm with a lot of geese on it and he was going to come out and hunt it in the fall.
In the Spring of 2001 Brian came in to my office one day and said “ do you want my dog?” I said, “the dog we been talking about for the past year?” he was just in tears because him and his wife just started a family and they could not do the dog justice, living in town and having a baby. He was sick that he could not give it the time to run and burn her energy.
I said I will be going to Europe for two weeks and when I get back if you still want to give me the dog I will take it, knowing how much he loved the dog, I wanted him to think about it.. Anyway two weeks later he bought me Cheyenne and He was right she had energy “high energy” the first week, I think she ran for about a week.
Anyway for the next eleven years she was always near me and part of our family as “the best dog I ever had” I told everyone that. I hunted her some but mostly she was our family third baby after our two children.

Julie, here is a photo of Molly during a SoDak pheasant hunting trip. She did great and is a fabulous dog. Rick Stawski wanted to take her this winter to train with his field trial dogs but we couldn't part with her. She is "huge" she is so tall and filling out, she is 70 lbs already and has no trouble retrieving a 13 lb canada goose I saved in a fridge to train her with.
Take care,
John
